There appears to be a new twist in the alleged case of death by poisoning of Clozier, St John resident, Clifford Marshall by his Guyanese female lover who made “a confession” on a videotape that has gone viral on Social Media.
The woman was heard on videotape indicating that she had used poison against Marshall after she caught him on several occasions sexually molesting her 3-year old daughter.
THE NEW TODAY has been told by a family member that the deceased had a string of convictions in the United Kingdom as a Pedophile and Sex Predator and was deported back to Grenada after serving six out of a nine years of a prison term for sexual offences against minors.
The female family member described Marshall who was living in Seamoon, St. Andrew before he passed away almost a month ago, as “a serial molester of children for decades” until he was dealt with by the British court system.
She said the situation is very unfortunate as the authorities in Grenada were informed about the history of Marshall following his deportation but apparently did nothing about the situation.
According to the family member who did not want to be identified, she looked on in awe as the convicted man was allowed to take up a job as a bus driver on the island after his deportation and was often seen with several female school girls in the vehicle.
She said the new information now out in the public domain about the past history of the deceased should bring “a new dimension” into the police investigation of the case involving the Guyanese woman.
“What she did may not be the best thing in the world but what she said (on the video) is really true,” the woman told THE NEW TODAY.
She urged police investigators in Grenada to obtain the transcripts of Marshall’s 7-day trial in England on the sexual molestation charges against young girls.
She was confident that the British court records will be similar to a replay of what the Guyanese woman was heard saying on the videotape about the sexual assault on her 3-year old daughter by Marshall.
She said the deceased did the same thing to “several children” in the UK until law enforcement caught up with him as he “raped and molested several children” for years until he was charged with a string of sexual offences.
“This boy is completely mad,” she told THE NEW TODAY, adding that Marshall always had “this nasty way” about him over the years.
Marshall is said to have left behind 4 sets of children in England with a number of black women until he was thrown out of the country.
According to the family member, he always picked vulnerable women who already had children especially those with a girl child to befriend them as his lover.
“When he was deported from England the authorities were advised but appeared to have acted in a very incompetent manner,” she said.
THE NEW TODAY understands that before leaving Grenada to live in Britain that Marshall had a number of cases pending against him in the Magistrate’s Courts on the western side of the island.
There are reports that the Royal Grenada Police Force is looking into the possibility of approaching a Coroner for permission to exhume Marshall’s body to engage in further investigations into the death.
A police insider said a debate had started on who should be held financially responsible for removing the body from the grave and getting a Forensic Pathologist to conduct the detailed investigation to be done on the decomposed Marshall.
According to high-level sources, the Guyanese woman “confessed” to police investigators that she had put a weedicide into chicken that Marshall had consumed.
About two weeks ago, police detained the suspect for questioning, released her from custody and allegedly took away her passport and other travelling documents.
The death certificate from the St. George’s General Hospital indicated that Marshall died from multiple organ failure.
