I think that the NDC is on the right road if Ms. Franka Bernardine is appointed at the upcoming convention as the new party leader.
As a card-bearing member of the party, our constituency branch in St. Andrew will give her all the support that is needed to bring her home on the day of the convention because in politics you cannot take anything for granted.
We are fully aware that the destablisers who were expelled from the party in 2012 have a few operatives in our midst to try and keep us from moving forward.
These nasty people are trying to create confusion by spreading rumours that the former political leader, Nazim Burke will challenge for the post from the floor on the day of the election.
Mr. Burke is a more decent man than that and will not go against the wishes of the committee that made the recommendation to appoint Ms. Bernadine as our new leader.
Its time for a good woman to come forward to lead our nation from all the chaos created over the years by all these men who have been in charge of our country and keep falling short of their promises.
As a person who is on the ground, I know that a lot of people are fed up with the current leader and waiting for something good to come forward to throw him out of office.
Dr. Keith has deceived too many people with false promises to get elected into office election after election.
We are still waiting on the oil money to flow as he told the big NNP rally on the Sunday before the election in 2018.
The false NNP leader also promised the teachers and public officers if they voted for him he would solve the pension issue going back to the days of the Revo.
Instead, the man deducted from the salaries of the said workers when they took strike action for their own money. The man even deceived the Bishop who was trying to resolve the issue. Can we continue to trust this man?
However, I want to give a good word of advice to Ms Bernardine to try and avoid the mistake made by Uncle Tilly of relying too much on those elements who turned around and stabbed him in the back and helped to bring back Dr. Keith to power.
Ms. Bernardine, some of these people are still at work in our party and we know that one of them does meet often in St. Andrew with the Red man that destabilized our party.
Our new political leader must not put old wine in new bottle as she tries to rebuild our party to take back power.
Please Ms. Bernardine, surround yourself with new people who can give different ideas to those who were in charge of our last two elections when we lost all 15 seats on both occasions.
The people have rejected these people and we must not go back there with anyone of them leading us into battle with their failed strategies.
Ms. Bernardine, if you can’t find people inside of Grenada to help you then look outside but please in heaven’s name don’t drink any more of the old wine that they are trying to put in a new bottle.
