I can understand why the Wayne Wilson promotion from ASP to Superintendent of Police is creating a problem in the country and in the Police force itself.
I guess as much that is the trend in the Police Force today and a serious departure from what used to take place yesteryear.
As you are aware, there were serious allegations as it relates to sexual and rape offences against senior police officers some years ago with some degree of solid evidence against most of the persons named by the victim at the time.
I know for a fact that you, Mr. Editor did make mention of the nasty sexual molestation in some of your weekly articles when the Commissioner was Winston James.
Up to today no investigations were conducted, no charges were brought against the police officers – some have now retired from the force and some are sitting in the top positions in the force.
Wilson’s promotion is no surprise to me because in the first instance the Minister of National Security and the Commissioner of Police at that time who was Winston James should not have reinstated him in the police force.
This promotion of a convicted police officer is no surprise to me – check out Vannie Curwen, he is under investigation but you will hear nothing of that as it is already under the carpet awaiting to sweep outside.
I don’t think that Commissioner Martin has much to say with what is going on as things are happening over his head.
