It is my sincere hope that our Prime Minister the Rt. Hon. Dr. Keith Mitchell is not offended by this letter since I want it to serve as a wakeup call for him to address a number of important issues in the country.
Sir, it is about time that you do a reshuffle and give us a new Minister of Works as the Hon. Gregory Bowen is not performing on the job given the poor state of the roads islandwide.
Mr. Bowen is now the laughing stock in the country as many persons now refer to him as the Minister of Patch roads.
The road infrastructure has deteriorated so badly under the watch of Gregory Bowen as never seen before even under the NDC.
The roads are very bad all over the country. One can see a few gangs here and there doing patch work. We don’t need more road patching but new roads for all including vehicle owners and drivers.
I don’t hear anything about Mr. Bowen and road fixing or building in the country. The last time I heard about Mr. Bowen is that he was travelling to Washington to continue with his fight against Grenlec that he once managed.
Mr. Prime Minister, it is either Mr. Bowen concentrates on his job as Minister of Works and look after our roads or simple replace him.
Mr. Prime Minister, I know that Mr. Bowen is very loyal to you but this is no time for loyalty as the roads deteriorate by the minute. It is either Mr. Bowen performs or you replace him.
Sir, the rainy season is upon us and the roads are deteriorating by the second so please give us a new Minister of Works.
In case you want to replace Mr. Bowen, please give the job to the Education Minister Emmalin Pierre as that job is more suitable to her than looking after the education of the nation.
Mr. Prime Minister, I was in a bar in the country where the NDC boys and them meet often and what they were saying is that you have lost interest in providing serious development in the country but only want to hold onto the job of Prime Minister at all cost because of the prestige.
The NDC boys were saying that Dr. Mitchell is no longer seen on the blocks as before and only comes around during election time. I don’t even want to touch the last issue about your trip abroad and what the people are saying. I guess that your intelligence people on the ground will provide you with that information.
Sir, I also want to tell you that a lot of the current MP’s are not visible in their constituencies and seem afraid to go on the ground. The NNP will have to move quickly to correct this situation among the MP’s.
Mr. Prime Minister, you also need to look into the area of Health and to give the country a new Minister as the current one is not being felt by the people.
I am not accusing him of paying more attention to his new restaurant business as I have no evidence of this but our healthcare system is in tatters.
A nurse at the hospital recently told me that some key operations at the hospital are not being performed by qualified nurses but by Imanis. This is madness sir.
Dr. Keith, the buck stops with you as Prime Minister as you are the only person in the country who has the authority under the constitution to either hire or fire a Minister to do the work of government.
Sir, it is time for a reshuffle and to remove all square pegs from round holes.
