Forge your own path: Dig your own grave

And God said to all Creation “Forge Your Own Path and Dig Your Own Grave”. God gave us all the ability to choose our path in life. Our decisions no matter how complicated are our own, yet they affect those around us and even the pathway of those who will follow us in the future. These decisions can lead us to our grave.

The Industrial Revolution was a whirl wind of change making some very wealthy and others so very poor.

Those who were trades people, in the services sector, skilled in the trades needed by industry did very well.

They had chosen their professions wisely.

Manual labour was often unwanted, cheap and expendable. Those people starved in time. Whether you are religious or secular the ability to choose has made us into self-professed Gods. God created, and so too can humanity. All we need to do is decide to accomplish what God once did. That is to create life, animate the dead in a limited fashion, cure the ill, feed the innocent.

Humanity can do these things already and who knows what capabilities our scientists will forge in the near future. To space and beyond. Into the mind of a person, to understand how the brain works, how memory is achieved.

The last frontier? Heck no! But will humanity concentrate its efforts charitably, empathetically or do what it has always done, make some wealthy at the expense of others.

We could look at it as an atheist would as well. Natural Selection and Evolution has led us to a cliff of despair, where any choice we make will create division, pain and require sacrifice.

Our environment is trying to adjust to the onslaught of industry and unmanageable pollution.

From Climate Change, micro plastics to challenges of what to do with our trash humanity has challenged itself and needs to find solutions fast. Humanity over time has forged its path and now faces a future that could lead future generations to the grave.

Choices. Whether challenged by God or Evolutionary Processes, we are facing a Human made Armageddon.

A hundred years onward we could have fed every person on this planet. This is not the case today. Most illnesses could have been cured.

A better livable society could have prevailed. What happened? Capitalism unchecked, unmanaged happened. Untold greed by necessity or selfishness happened. The severe harvesting of our nest egg, the earth happened.

Humanity set its attention upon individualism instead of the collective common good. Acquiring became a pastime, hobby, necessity and privilege to many while acquiring the necessities of life became the purpose to live for billions of humans.

Today Division, not Unity prevails! Life has become easy for the Western World, but difficult and challenging for the rest of humanity. Immigration to the West is highly controlled, leaving the poor, unskilled and culturally unwanted to survive on their own.

What if these folks do what the West cannot? What if the poorest of nations can unite together and form their own purpose filled continents, not many nations but one.

Africa, Latin America, Central America, the Caribbean united to achieve for their people first. Universal health care, democracy of a type, homes and employment for all. It can be achieved but only if certain things can be set aside.

Set aside anything learnt from colonialists, a system that was based upon the capitalist misuse of humans and their natural resources. Set aside the importation of items and manufacture only what is needed by society.

Local is the new word of Unity. If you need something, get it from your neighbour not some economic or politically immoral colonial wasteland.

Technology can make your dreams a reality. To feed yourselves with local foods, pure water, build climate accessible housing, establish schools with your own local cultural and social benefit in mind.

Let Moral Selfishness abide. The lives of your children are on the balance sheet, and their worthiness to survive appears challenged. If you care not for the next generation please go away and die. You will be a very small footnote in the Book of Life.

Those who give of themselves, see the future as an opportunity to establish a better world, be aware, you will be seen, acknowledged and rewarded. God promised the wretched will inherit the earth. Hopefully the earth will be a worthy prize?
