I listened to the news and heard that government is calling on Sheldon Scott to repay the money in what is now called “Cellphonegate”.
This is an unfortunate situation as Mr. Scott was only following the lead of his boss, The Rt. Hon. Dr. Keith Mitchell in the private use of government funds.
I seem to recall the former Opposition Leader Mr. Michael Baptiste telling us on many occasions that under a previous Dr. Mitchell government, it provided millions in the form of a loan to the Call Center company involving his cousin Dennis Campbell and a promise was made in Parliament by the Prime Minister that the money will be repaid.
We all know that Call Centre collapsed and the money was not repaid. Sheldon, please be a man and tell Prime Minister Mitchell that you are only willing to repay the money when our Prime Minister make sure that the taxpayers recover all the loan monies that were advanced to Dennis Campbell and his Call Centre company.
What is good for the goose is good for the gander. It cannot be one law for some and a different set of laws for some other people in the country.
Sheldon, you remember what is happening with the Shrimp farm project in Victoria. The Prime Minister admitted that some people collected monies from the sale of our passports for the project and pocketed it.
Please tell the Doc that you are willing to pay back the money when the Shrimp farm project people pay back too.
There is also a lesson in this for Sheldon Scott and all those other frontline NNP activists that they will be on their own when trouble comes.
The big man ain’t going down with them at all.
Sheldon boy, you have done so much work on radio for NNP that the party should now be prepared to pass the hat around and collect the money to pay back to the taxpayers.
One other suggestion: When the Doc comes back from Canada ask for a meeting with him to find out how much money is still in the vault from Election 2018 to give you to pay back to the taxpayers.
Sheldon boy, do not put your hand in your own pocket to pull out the thousands to pay back to the Treasury.
The NDC boys are saying that this thing could cost you about half a million dollars in only two years of cellphone bills. That is a hell of a lot of money.
Dr. Mitchell and NNP should be putting a crown on your heard for helping them to win the elections in 2013 and 2018 instead of harassing you now to repay the money.
