The Grenada National Organisation of Women (GNOW) is disheartened and expresses sheer disgust and disappointment with the recent incidence of Child Sexual Abuse.
We DO NOT subscribe to Abuse in any form nor fashion. GNOW denounces this scourge which continues to plague our society.
Domestic Violence and Abuse against our Women and Girls is a NO..NO.
This must STOP and our children will not forgive us if we sit on our laurels and do nothing.
This is a clarion call to action by every citizen to reverse these alarming statistics for a small state as ours. No longer are just our girls but our BOYS too! As GNOW moves forward with our march we say…. Zero tolerance against Child Sexual Abuse. Zero tolerance against domestic Violence against women and girls.
To all parents, mothers, fathers, guardians, aunties, uncles who have children in their care be responsible and do not leave your children in the care of persons who will not look at them through your eyes.
It is a sad situation and we need to address it and arrest it. GNOW calls on the Judiciary with their metal to assist in the fight to amend the laws appropriately where deficiencies exists so that the next would be perpetrator will think twice before any such act.
