Ariza Credit Union extends its warmest congratulations to the winners of the 2025 Ariza National Championship, St. David Track Blazers Sports Club, who successfully defended their championship title for the 16th consecutive year.
The Credit Union has partnered with the Grenada Athletics Association (GAA) to stage this highly anticipated sports event. This collaboration provides athletes, especially those who have already graduated from secondary school, with an invaluable opportunity to qualify for the CARIFTA Games. The uniqueness of this event lies in the fact that it offers athletes the only platform to showcase their track and field talents at this level.
This year’s competition saw a significant increase in athlete participation in the Ariza National Championship. According to the Public Relations Officer of the Grenada Athletics Association, Kwame Hypolite, “Without the efforts of clubs across Grenada, we would not have seen such a high level of participation.” He also took the opportunity to praise the clubs for their dedication to enhancing the lives of athletes across Grenada. Mr. Hypolite further commended Ariza Credit Union for its 12 years of unwavering support for the event, saying, “Ariza’s contribution has been invaluable to track and field in Grenada, and it has had a profound impact on the lives of our young athletes.”
Josephine Walters, Marketing & Communications Officer of Ariza Credit Union, described the weekend as a “spectacular showcase of track and field talent”, while also commenting, “if the determination, grit, and excellence displayed during the Ariza National Championships carry forward to CARIFTA in Trinidad this April, Grenada is poised to make its mark on the podium in several events.
Ariza Credit Union congratulates all athletes who participated in this year’s event and wishes all continued triumph. Coaches, clubs, and the Grenada Athletics Association are commended for making the championship a success.
