The RGPF silence on Lance Aux Epines death

Andrew Frederick – his death still remains a mystery

Two Months of Silence: What Does the Grenadian Public Know About the Murder of Andrew Frederick?
The public was told a body was found on 4 January 2026. Since then, no suspects named, no direction of investigation disclosed, no public appeal for information issued.

On 4 January 2026, the public were informed that the body of Andrew Frederick had been discovered at his home the previous day. That report was brief. It confirmed that a man was dead. It said little else. For the public, that single report remains the entirety of what has been officially communicated about this case.

In the two months that have followed, the Royal Grenada Police Force (RGPF) has issued no public statement on the matter. No suspects have been named. No direction of the investigation has been disclosed. No appeal for information from members of the public has been made. The case has, as far as the public is concerned, been met with complete silence.

What the Public Has Not Been Told
“Friends of the Family” can report that a pathologist signed the medical cause of death certificate on 7 January 2026, four days after Andrew Frederick’s body was discovered.

That certificate records that he sustained injuries consistent with homicide. This is an official pathological determination. It is a matter of formal record. The public has not been informed of this finding by the RGPF.

Andrew Frederick’s body was not released to his family until 19 February 2026.

The Standard Expected of the RGPF
In cases where a person has died as a result of the actions of another, it is standard practice for a police force to issue a public statement and to invite members of the public with relevant information to come forward. Neither has occurred in this case.

None of these steps have been taken by the RGPF in the two months since the statement that Andrew Frederick’s body was found. No statement. No appeal. No update. The individuals responsible for his death have not been publicly identified and have not been arrested. They remain within the community.

A Question for Every Member of the Public
The death of Andrew Frederick is not a matter that concerns only his family. The absence of any public communication from the RGPF raises a question that every member of the public has cause to consider.

When a person is found dead with injuries confirmed by a pathologist is homicide and two months passed without a statement, without an appeal for information and without an arrest, what assurance does the public have that those responsible are being pursued?

The community is entitled to that assurance. It has not received it.

“The Family Friends” are putting a few questions to the RGPF and awaits a response.

What is the current status of the investigation into the death of Andrew Frederick?

Is the RGPF investigating the death of Andrew Frederick as a homicide on the basis of the pathologist’s medical cause of death certificate signed on 7 January 2026, or is the investigation proceeding on a different basis, and if so, what is that basis?

Why has no public statement been issued in the two months since his body was discovered? Why has no public appeal for information been made?

Have any suspects been identified in connection with this case?

Has the RGPF considered or requested specialist forensic assistance from international partners?

Anyone with information relating to the death of Andrew Frederick is urged to contact the Royal Grenada Police Force. Anonymous reports may also be submitted. Information from members of the public may be critical to securing justice and to the safety of the wider community.
