Backward ever

We take pride in celebrating, when what we are celebrating is backwardness.

Last year 2020 because of COVID the government set up inspection of vehicles at the national stadium and other parts of the country. It was a one-stop process.

I commended the government on that move. Vehicle owners were able to go through this pains taking process in quick time and the results were awesome.

Now, 2021 and we have regressed to the same old foolishness.

(1). Vehicles line up waiting to be inspected.

(2). Inspection officers going on lunch and the place closed between 12 noon and 1.00 p.m.

(3) . Long lines outside the treasury.

(4). Employers having to loose production hours because every year an employee has to get his vehicle inspected.

But we celebrate 47 years of independence. We have a man who is Prime Minister for more than 3 decades and he has been the Chairman of the IT committee in Caricom. Is this man a joke when it comes to technology and improvement?

This is a government talking about improvement and tremendous growth but we gone backwards with the licensing of vehicles.

Police officers who determine a pass or a fail based on how they feel about you and how you attack the government.

WE ARE GOING NOWHERE. PROGRESS IS NOT MOVEMENT… YOU CAN MOVE IN A CIRCLE ALL YOUR LIFE. PROGRESS IS UPWARD MOVEMENT.
