
IICA Delegation in Grenada
Objective of the Position: To assist with implementing the Country Strategy for the delivery of technical cooperation services for the sustainable development of agriculture and the rural milieu.
Duties
Under the direction and management of the Representative:
- Collaborate with the Ministry of Agriculture and Lands, Fisheries and Cooperatives, other public and private sector stakeholders impacting on agriculture and rural development in order to assess, evaluate and elaborate the Country Strategy and to prepare annual action plans for its implementation.
- Prepare annual work plans of activities and budgets for the IICA Grenada programme of technical cooperation.
- Provide Technical support, as requested, to the implementation of the Country Strategies of other Member Countries of the Eastern Caribbean States.
- Other duties as may be defined in the Terms of Reference of the Technical Specialist.
Qualifications
- University degree in agriculture or related area. (Postgraduate degree or other form of graduate studies in the same areas would be an asset.)
- Formal training or proven working experience in matters related to agriculture, trade facilitation, project development or agribusiness development.
- Suitable work experience in planning and implementing projects in the agriculture or related areas.
- Ability to work with the full range of stakeholders in the agriculture and related sectors.
- Good writing; presentation; and interpersonal skills.
Remuneration: Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience
